We’；ve had？gorgeous weather this week and one topic that keeps coming up with friends is picnics. Thus this picnic post. It is definitely picnic weather， and picnics are one of my favorite things in the world. We have so many parks in Washington and it’；s that time of year when all the beautiful lush greenery is in full bloom， so you really have to take advantage of an 80 degree day when it’；s here. Dan and I have accumulated a lot of plastic cutlery and solo cups because we often go on picnics but it would be cool to have legit picnic pieces. Even just having a basket of supplies in the car to let us convert some takeout to a real picnic complete with dishes， a blanket， napkins would be amazing.
That’；s pretty much the reason why this post is considered a ‘；Fancy Friday’； postburlap throw pillow covers， because if you have？a different set of dishes and glasses specifically for things like picnics then you’；re pretty darn fancy. Most of these items are reasonably priced and it makes me wonder why we keep buying more and more plastic dinnerware if we can just put together a set specifically for picnics. You could go all out and get something like the Anthropologie Picnic Basket or you can pick and choose different pieces for your set and pack them neatly into a large tote bag. Or you could use a cooler， but I like the idea of a tote or basket which feels traditionally picnicy.custom anniversary gifts
On Monday for Pinterest Picks I’；m putting together a picnic food related post but let me start you off with a few finger food ideas for your picnic. We like to bring？a fresh baguette， a couple cheeses –； 1 hard， 1 blue， some cured meat –； salami and maybe some prosciutto with cantaloupe， some olives –； we love castelvetrano， and maybe some fresh greens with a bright lemon vinaigrette. And this black olive tapenade with figs and mint？from Food &； Wine， courtesy of Jacques Pépin， sounds like a delicious addition to this list.？Lemonade is a classic picnic drink but why not kick it up a notch and make your own？ Or even make your own and spike it with your favorite spirit. Whatever you bring to drink it better be refreshing and tasty!
Anthropologie Hillside Picnic Basket？–；？This comes with all the hardware you need for a picnic. Perfect.
Anthropologie Under Sun Melamine Dinner Plate？–；？These plates come in five different designs but I love the teal one best. And they’；re melamine so they won’；t break.
Terrain Narrow Stripe Beach Throw？–；？Big enough for two and easy to shake out after sitting on the grass.
Williams Sonoma DuraClear？ Osteria Stemless Red Wineglass， Set of 6？–；？For that wine you brought， duh. Sure， you could use any other glass but keep the stemware with actual stems safe and sound back at your house.
World Market Cool Multicolor Herringbone Napkin， Set of 4？–；？Casual， cotton napkins like this are great to have on hand and won’；t blow away as easily as paper napkins.
World Market Country Jar Glasses， Set of 2？–；？Regular mason jars work too but I like handles. You can also pick up some lids with an opening and some straws for real festiveness.
Crate and Barrel Bubbly Bucket？–；？We love sparkling so this is a must! But make sure wherever you picnic allows alcohol. This statement really made me wish I lived somewhere with an open container law. ？：(
Crate and Barrel Airtight Glass Bottle？–；？Water! Stay hydrated! And look classy by putting it into one of these sealable glass bottles.
